MSU-40
Optical Drive Replacement & More
Has your bank had a problem with their archive unit?
The superior solution is the MSU-40. The MSU-40 replaces the archive packs with an intelligent, easy to use, reliable, flexible system that does much more than just store 20+ years of data. The completely self contained unit stores your data securely on to its' large data drive, then makes an immediate backup of this data on to a separate backup drive, and then instantly transfers a third copy offsite to our remote secure server to insure complete data redundancy. This should put a smile on your examiners face! Our solution works with all current, TI, HP, AIX and future MBS/IBE platforms. The system will also work as a COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk) solution for a number of other core processing systems.
The MSU-40 allows for traditional terminal access of reports and for the completely new web interface access. Every computer in your bank capable of running a web browser can access all stored reports via a web interface. Imagine now being able to see the entire width of the report, cutting out a relevant piece and pasting it into another document, faxing it straight from your computer without printing it, or attaching it as email all with the click of a mouse.
The MSU-40 also makes a backup of your MBS/IBE system. This is not meant as a replacement for tape backups, rather a comforting piece of mind that in the event of tape or human failure a complete and automatic backup was done by your MSU-40.
Enhancements allow the MSU-40 to act as a mail server, proxy server (internet access for some or all of your PC's with firewall security), file server, and more. All system upgrades and enhancements are done automatically without the aid of an operator. Future enhancements will include monitoring your network and notify you of any current or perceived future problems.
A tremendous amount of research and thought went into the MSU-40. While some may argue that it would have been simpler to just add an external hard drive that would have been susceptible to system failure, we knew that our customers deserved better. The chart below details all the advantages of the MSU-40.
